Putin to hold bilateral talks with Pashinyan in St. Petersburg

Russian President Vladimir Putin is scheduled to hold a bilateral meeting with Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan in St. Petersburg, Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov announced.

“Putin intends to hold a bilateral meeting with Armenian Prime Minister Pashinyan,” Peskov said, as reported by RIA Novosti.

The informal Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) summit is taking place in St. Petersburg on December 21–22.

Earlier, Peskov had stated that both Pashinyan and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev were expected to attend. However, it was later confirmed that Aliyev did not travel to St. Petersburg.
