During the December 23 session of the Yerevan City Council, the draft 2026 budget was discussed, outlining major allocations for roadworks and infrastructure.
A total of 2.615 billion drams will be allocated for ongoing asphalt paving projects. Additionally, more than 7.521 billion drams have been earmarked for the construction of the Isakov-Arshakunyats Avenue.
The project includes 1.677 billion drams for medium-level street repairs. The overhaul of the Saralanj-Avetisyan-Papazyan intersection is budgeted at approximately 337 million drams, according to Armenpress.
Restoration of the collapsed section at the end of Nubarashen will continue as part of the city’s broader road improvement agenda. Meanwhile, 965 million drams have been set aside for the renovation of Kievyan and Lambada bridges.
For the construction, reconstruction, and repair of highways, ramps, and curbstones, the budget allocates 1.125 billion drams. This programwill also include the renovation of sidewalks on Amiryan Street.
