U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio, ahead of his meeting with Armenia’s Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan in Washington, stated that the goal was not just to sign a document, but to advance the practical implementation of the TRIPP initiative. He emphasized the project as an exemplary model of bilateral cooperation.
“It opens Armenia for business, allows it to prosper economically, and in no way violates Armenia’s sovereignty. This is a great example of cooperation. It is also a continuous mechanism for strengthening our bilateral relations, which are very strong and continue to deepen through these agreements, beyond the trilateral arrangement,” he said, as reported by 1lurer.am .
According to Rubio, the trilateral agreement will truly serve as a global model for how countries can enable economic activity and prosperity without compromising sovereignty or territorial integrity.
“We are confident it will be great for Armenia, great for the United States, and great for all parties involved. Ultimately, it will serve as an example to the world. We are committed and are taking significant steps today to move forward,” he added.
Armenia’s Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan and U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio in Washington have endorsed the Armenia-U.S. cooperation document under the Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity (TRIPP) initiative. The published TRIPP framework outlines the implementation process and clarifies that it does not and is not intended to create legal obligations for Armenia or the U.S.
