Foreign nationals in Armenia can now obtain a Mobile ID (mID) if they meet specific documentation criteria, according to the Migration and Citizenship Service.
To be eligible, applicants must possess a Public Service Number (PSN) and one of the following documents:
- Temporary residence card
- Permanent residence card
- Special passport
- Certificate confirming legal residency
Authorities note that outside Yerevan, demand is manageable and same-day appointments are often available. In the capital, delays remain, largely due to mandatory registration requirements.
Additionally, displaced persons from Nagorno-Karabakh can activate their electronic signatures using their temporary protection (refugee) certificates.
