Armenia’s Tourism Committee has denied circulating claims that Wizz Air flights have been suspended due to technical issues.
“Recent days have seen the spread of false information alleging that Wizz Air aircraft are banned from flying due to technical malfunctions. We inform you that this is untrue and is being disseminated to damage the airline’s reputation,” the official statement reads.
The committee reminded that Wizz Air, one of Europe’s leading low-cost carriers, has once again been listed among the world’s 50 safest airlines and the top 10 safest low-cost carriers by the international agency Airline Ratings.
“Airline Ratings is recognized globally as an authoritative source for aviation safety, service quality, and passenger reviews,” the statement adds.
Wizz Air is set to launch flights to Rhodes, Greece, starting June 7, 2026.
