Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan and Martín Eurnekian, CEO of Corporación América S.A., have signed the fifth addendum to the Zvartnots Airport concession agreement, following Armenian Government Decision No. 93-A of January 22, 2026.
Grigoryan welcomed the guest and emphasized the significance of the company's investment projects, highlighting their strategic importance for the country's development.
Both parties agreed that the negotiations around the fifth addendum were conducted in a constructive atmosphere, which, in their view, lays the groundwork for continued effective cooperation.
The meeting also addressed redevelopment plans involving the former building of Armenia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, located in Republic Square, a site of strategic significance.
The aim of the new agreement is to expand the capacity of Armenia’s international airports, improve infrastructure, enhance service quality, and enable the transformation of Kapan’s “Syunik” airport into an international terminal.
Under the new terms, all prior restrictions on the Kapan’s Syunik Airport within the concession agreement are lifted. The contract period is extended until December 31, 2067. The concessionaire commits to approximately $425 million in capital investments. The master plan and investment package, covering initiatives since 2023, will be coordinated with the Armenian government.
