Following the appointment of Romanos Petrosyan as interim manager of Electric Networks of Armenia (ENA), 50 employees were dismissed. According to Pastinfo, 48 of them have filed lawsuits seeking to restore their rights.
Attorney Vardan Aloyan stated that courts have already ruled in favor of 7–8 of the plaintiffs, invalidating Petrosyan’s dismissal decisions. The remaining lawsuits are still under review.
It was also noted that Petrosyan had never even met some of the employees he fired.
On July 18, the Public Services Regulatory Commission (PSRC) announced that Romanos Petrosyan, previously dismissed from the State Supervision Service, had become interim manager of ENA. The PSRC also launched proceedings into the company’s operations based on a report submitted by the government.
The commission stripped Tashir Capital of its ENA license. Following the PSRC’s decision to revoke the license, it will hold negotiations with ENA’s board of directors over the next three months regarding property transfer. If no agreement is reached, the state may claim ownership on public interest grounds.
