Russia’s state-owned corporation Rostec has officially exited its joint project with Samvel Karapetyan’s Tashir Medica, which aimed to establish a centralized medical laboratory services system in Russia.
The project was launched in 2021 under a cooperation agreement signed at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum. It envisioned the creation of a nationwide lab network operated by a federal entity. However, the investment volume was never publicly disclosed.
According to Kommersant, cited by Sputnik Armenia, a few years earlier, Rostec had signed a similar agreement with Siemens, which ultimately was never implemented either.
By the end of 2025, Rostec’s affiliated company RT-Business Development transferred its 10% stake in “Centralized Diagnostic Systems” to Tashir Medica, making Tashir Medica the sole shareholder.
According to Tashir Medica’s website, the company is the operator of a high-tech centralized clinical diagnostic lab network in the Russian Federation. The initial plan was to consolidate laboratory research across several Russian regions and establish a nationwide network of medical centers within five years.
