India’s Chief of Defence Staff, General Anil Chauhan, arrived in Armenia on February 1, leading a military delegation on an official visit, according to the Ministry of Defense.
Earlier, it was reported that India had begun supplying the first batch of Pinaka guided rockets to Armenia. In November 2024, the Indian military journal Indian Defence Research Wing stated that deliveries of the Pinaka rocket systems to Armenia had started. It also noted that this coincided with the delivery of Indian AKASH surface-to-air missile defense systems.
