Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan met with Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, UAE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, to discuss ways to deepen bilateral cooperation.
Both sides emphasized their readiness to expand collaboration across multiple sectors alongside an active political dialogue. Discussions covered prospects for enhancing trade and economic relations, boosting business ties, and promoting investment initiatives.
The ministers also noted that the rise in direct flights and growing tourism volumes in recent years could contribute to more effective cooperation.
Mirzoyan and bin Zayed exchanged views on regional issues. Mirzoyan highlighted the importance of establishing peace with Azerbaijan and stressed the need for concrete steps to ensure long-term stability.
Mirzoyan praised the Zayed Award for Human Fraternity, calling it a symbol of peacebuilding efforts.
The meeting also addressed prospects for deeper regional connectivity, infrastructure development, and humanitarian matters.
On February 4, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and the Azerbaijani President received the 2026 Zayed Award for Human Fraternity in Abu Dhabi. Pashinyan noted that the award belongs not only to national leaders, but also to both peoples who share the peace process.
