U.S. firm AECOM to assess TRIPP site in Armenia

A team from American engineering and consulting firm AECOM has arrived in Armenia to launch site assessment activities for the TRIPP (Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity) initiative, according to a statement from the U.S. Embassy in Armenia.

“These efforts will include a feasibility study and the development of proposals related to railway and other infrastructure design, aiming to promote long-term economic growth, connectivity, and regional integration in Armenia,” the statement reads.

Earlier, Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan and U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio signed a document in Washington confirming joint cooperation under the TRIPP initiative.

The published document outlines the framework for implementing the initiative. It explicitly states that the framework does not and is not intended to create legal obligations for either Armenia or the United States.
