The share of Armenian exports directed to European Union countries reached 7.9% in 2025, according to Economy Minister Gevorg Papoyan, speaking at a press conference.
Papoyan noted that in 2024, the share of exports to the EU stood at 4.7%, meaning the increase over the past year reflects a positive trend, Armenpress reports.
“There are two important factors here: first is the growth in exports to the European Union; second, re-exports of simple goods have been excluded from the calculations,” Papoyan said.
The minister also noted that overall imports and exports have declined, largely due to a drop in re-exports of raw gold, along with decreases in several other goods related to tighter sanctions.
