Sevak Khachatryan, a member of the opposition Ejmiatsin alliance in the Vagharshapat Council of Elders, wrote on his Facebook page that searches and arrests have been carried out since early morning in Vagharshapat against various citizens holding opposition views.
According to him, at least five individuals have been detained.
Law enforcement authorities have not released any official information regarding the matter.
