The lawsuits filed against the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin by two defrocked clerics—Stepan Asatryan (formerly Father Aram) and Aramayis Takhmazyan (formerly Father Tade)—have been returned.
According to the Judicial Information System Datalex, the lawsuits were returned due to procedural deficiencies in submission, Sputnik Armenia reports.
The court decisions were made by Judges Sima Abovyan and Pargev Melkonyan, respectively. The plaintiffs were given a three-day deadline to correct the deficiencies.
Stepan Asatryan and Aramayis Takhmazyan had requested that the defrocking decisions by Catholicos of All Armenians Karekin II be annulled and that they be reinstated in their pastoral roles.
