Armenia’s Ministry of Justice has announced that child birth registration can now be completed online through a dedicated electronic service.
The procedure is as follows:
- Visit hartak.am, which can also be accessed via QR code.
- Select the “Child Birth” section.
- In the “Obtain Birth Certificate” section, choose “Receive Birth Certificate Online” and click “Start.”
- Click “Continue.” To use the service, identification through the “Yes Em” national identification platform is required.
- Click “Fill in Application.”
- In the “Personal Data” section, enter your passport number, email address and phone number. All system notifications will be sent to the указанному phone number or email. Click “Next page.”
- In the “Marital Status” section, the system displays information from the electronic registry regarding whether you are married. Confirm the displayed information and click “Next page.”
- In the “Certificate Entry” section, the system displays data from the medical birth certificate(s) issued by the healthcare institution that provided delivery services. Select one certificate and proceed to the “Next page.”
- In the “Child Data” section, enter the child’s first name and surname in Armenian letters.
- In the surname field, enter either the father’s or mother’s surname; select nationality based on the father or mother; indicate the address according to the father’s or mother’s registration.
- Simultaneously, you may apply for the child’s one-time birth allowance.
- The page will indicate for which birth order each parent may apply for the allowance. Select the parent on whose behalf you wish to submit the request.
- Choose a bank convenient for you and the passport you will present at the bank, then click “Next page.”
- On the data verification page, ensure all information is correct and click “Submit application.”
- Confirm acknowledgment of the statement regarding non-provision of false information and click “Next page.”
- Click “Sign.”
- Review the application again and click “Sign,” selecting your preferred type of electronic signature.
- Click “Return to application,” then “Submit.”
After electronically signing and submitting the application, you will receive a notification confirming its acceptance.
