Mihran Harutyunyan plans next bout on March 21

Olympic silver medalist in Greco-Roman wrestling Mihran Harutyunyan has commented on his latest mixed martial arts appearance and said he intends to hold his next bout on March 21.

On January 31, at the UNF 30 tournament in Los Angeles, the 36-year-old Armenian athlete defeated American fighter Shane Torres by points, Factor.am reports.

“I knew my opponent would fight until the end. He didn’t surprise me. I knew he had wrestling skills. I understood that if he stepped into the cage with me, then he was a strong and brave fighter. I think I’ll return here on March 21,” Harutyunyan said in an interview with UNF’s official channel.

Harutyunyan has now had nine mixed martial arts fights, winning seven and losing two.
