During the official presentation of the Strong Armenia party at the Karen Demirchyan Sports and Concert Complex, a video created using artificial intelligence featured the party’s PM candidate Samvel Karapetyan declaring that their program “will be the most realistic and the best.”
“To restore our honor, our unity and a life filled with dignity, I proudly announce my candidacy for the position of Prime Minister of Armenia,” the video said, according to Panorama.am .
It had previously been announced that Samvel Karapetyan had been nominated by the party as its candidate for prime minister.
Karapetyan stated: “The political situation in Armenia has fundamentally changed, and the small group no longer has the strength to restore its weakened positions. The people are dissatisfied with the authorities; a large part of society is deeply disappointed, as the government has failed in everything — foreign and domestic policy, as well as the social sphere.
The state of the economy can be described in one sentence: we are poor and burdened with debt. Those who have brought every kind of calamity and misfortune upon our country due to weakness now merely promise and speak about fragile peace.
Peace without a strong state is called surrender.
They mislead the public by claiming that having a strong army is equivalent to war. This is another lie meant to frighten society. We want peace, strong and dignified peace.
The state budget must not be emptied into private pockets; the exact opposite must be done.
The program we will present will be the most realistic and the best, opening a broad path toward a strong Armenia.”
Parliamentary elections in Armenia are scheduled for June 7, 2026.
