Foreign Ministry Public Council holds first meeting

On February 12, the first meeting of the Public Council attached to Armenia’s Foreign Ministry was held at the ministry.

Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan emphasized the importance of continuous and constructive dialogue with civil society, including cooperation within the format of the newly established Public Council.

The head of the foreign policy ведомство outlined Armenia’s foreign policy priorities, including steps already undertaken to consistently advance the peace agenda, as well as approaches and visions for developing partnerships in various directions.

Regional unblocking initiatives and the opportunities emerging from their practical implementation were discussed.

It was noted that active progress has been recorded both in expanding the agenda with traditional partners and in establishing and deepening new strategic cooperations.

Mirzoyan answered participants’ questions, and an exchange of views took place. Initiatives aimed at further strengthening Armenia’s resilience in democratic processes were underscored as important.

Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan has been included in the electoral list of the Civil Contract party, Armenpress reported.

Mirzoyan participated in the party’s internal elections for forming the proportional list under number 187.

From February 13, internal elections to form the party’s proportional list began and lasted three days.
