Representatives of Azerbaijani civil society have arrived in Armenia, entering through a demarcated and delimited section of the land border.
On February 13–14, a bilateral roundtable organized within the framework of the “Bridge of Peace” initiative is being held in Armenia, bringing together representatives of Armenian and Azerbaijani civil societies, Armenpress reported.
In addition to the core participants of the initiative, a broader group from both sides has also been involved in the discussion.
The Azerbaijani delegation entered Armenia through a demarcated and delimited section of the land border, completing all relevant procedures. This step was assessed as an important practical advance toward strengthening mutual trust between the two countries.
During the discussions, representatives of Armenian and Azerbaijani civil societies will address processes stemming from the peace agenda endorsed at the Washington summit on August 8, 2025. Separate sessions will focus on the emerging regional security architecture, the benefits of peace, public perceptions regarding the normalization of relations between the two societies, prospects for economic cooperation, and the role of civil society in fostering mutual understanding and trust.
