The Investigative Committee has stated that claims it denied Samvel Karapetyan the opportunity to deliver a video address do not correspond to reality, according to “Haykakan Zhamanak.”
“In response to a request submitted to the Investigative Committee by Samvel Karapetyan’s defense counsel, asking whether a court decision allows his client to deliver a public speech, particularly in the form of a video address, the investigative body provided a written clarification stating that it does not have the authority to interpret judicial acts.
Therefore, the claim that ‘the Investigative Committee did not give Samvel Karapetyan the opportunity to deliver a video address’ does not correspond to reality,” the statement reads.
On February 12, the presentation of the Strong Armenia party took place, during which an AI-generated video address was presented on behalf of Samvel Karapetyan. In this regard, the party stated that the restriction on Karapetyan’s public speech had been lifted, but the possibility of delivering an audiovisual address had not been formally regulated.
