Armenian Ambassador to Austria Andranik Hovhannisyan met with Dr. Werner Fasslabend, President of the Austrian Institute for European and Security Policy (AIES), where he outlined Armenia’s foreign policy priorities, the regional peace agenda, as well as the TRIPP project and the latest developments recorded in this context.
The sides exchanged views on the current geopolitical situation and also discussed prospects for further deepening and expanding Armenia-Austria cooperation.
Dr. Werner Fasslabend is regarded as one of Austria’s leading analysts in international politics and security. He also served as the longest-tenured defense minister in Austria’s history.
Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan and U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio in Washington confirmed a document on joint Armenia-U.S. cooperation within the framework of the Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity.
The published document on the implementation of TRIPP describes the procedure for launching the initiative. The framework does not create and is not intended to create legal commitments or obligations for either Armenia or the U.S.
