At an extraordinary session on February 24, the Central Election Commission approved the standard templates of documents required for registering electoral lists of parties and party alliances participating in the National Assembly elections.
The decision was aligned with the requirements of the Electoral Code constitutional law, under which, in the case of regular parliamentary elections, the first thirty candidates on a party or alliance electoral list must be confirmed by a congress decision, the CEC said.
The Commission also updated Decision No. 3-A, which sets the procedure for registering a party or alliance on the CEC’s official website to obtain an account for participation in elections and for forming electoral lists, bringing it in line with the CEC’s digital toolkit.
The CEC additionally approved the formats of certificates for candidates, authorized representatives, proxies, observers, visitors, interpreters, members of constituency and precinct election commissions, specialists, support center specialists, members of parliament, community heads, council members, and CEC representatives.
The Commission also approved the cost estimate for the preparation and conduct of the regular National Assembly elections scheduled for June 7, 2026, totaling 4 billion 451 million 688 thousand drams. Of that amount, 1 billion 800 million 296 thousand drams is allocated for the salaries of precinct election commission members.
Parliamentary elections in Armenia are scheduled for June 7, 2026.
