Deputy Prime Minister Tigran Khachatryan discussed the possibility of expanding investments with French entrepreneurs. He received a delegation led by Gauthier Ricard, head of the South Caucasus countries group of the “Movement of the Enterprises of France” (MEDEF).
The Deputy Prime Minister emphasized the continued progress of economic ties between Armenia and France, noting that the visit by such a representative delegation testifies to the expansion of bilateral business relations. In this context, he underlined the importance of cooperation between the private sectors, stressing the formation of a new-quality business culture, as well as the development of new knowledge, technologies, and capacities alongside attracting investment.
During the meeting, representatives of French companies presented the main areas of their activities and expressed readiness to contribute their experience and professional potential to the implementation of various investment projects in Armenia in different formats.
Addressing possible avenues of cooperation, Tigran Khachatryan assured that the government has taken consistent steps to deepen ties between the business communities of the two countries and to make Armenia’s investment environment more attractive for French companies.
The meeting was also attended by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of France to Armenia, Olivier Decottignies.
