Mkhitaryan may leave Inter at end of season

Former Armenia national team captain Henrikh Mkhitaryan may leave Italian club Inter at the end of the current season, Factor.am reports, citing FCInterNews.

According to the publication, the Milan-based club plans to rejuvenate its squad and part ways with several experienced players, including the 37-year-old Armenian midfielder. Mkhitaryan’s current contract expires at the end of this season.

Defenders Stefan de Vrij, Francesco Acerbi and Matteo Darmian, as well as goalkeeper Yann Sommer, are also expected to leave Inter in the summer. At the same time, the futures of Nicolo Barella, Andy Diouf, Davide Frattesi, Hakan Calhanoglu, Marcus Thuram and Denzel Dumfries at the club remain uncertain.

The all-time top scorer of the Armenian national team joined Inter in 2022. With the club, he won the Italian championship, the Italian Cup and the Super Cup, and also played in the UEFA Champions League final twice.

In the current season, Mkhitaryan has made 24 appearances, scoring two goals and providing two assists.
