There is peace in Armenia, and the situation should be assessed through that logic, Deputy Defense Minister Arman Sargsyan said, commenting on developments around Iran and in the Middle East.
“I would like us to move forward taking this reality into account,” he was quoted as saying by Aysor.am .
The deputy minister emphasized that a Security Council meeting on the matter has already been held and that relevant institutions are working to address existing concerns.
“There is peace in Armenia. Assess the situation with that logic,” he added.
U.S. President Donald Trump has announced that the United States has launched a large-scale operation against Iran, stating that Washington will not allow Tehran to acquire nuclear weapons and that this remains firm U.S. policy.
Israel, for its part, carried out a preemptive strike on Iran “to neutralize the threat,” Defense Minister Israel Katz said, declaring a state of emergency across the country. Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps has launched retaliatory strikes against U.S. military facilities in the Middle East.
