Milan’s Inter compared midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan’s assist to poetry in a post published in Armenian on the club’s official Facebook page.
“Mkhitaryan’s assist — pure poetry,” the post read.
Mkhitaryan provided the assist during Inter’s 2–0 victory over Genoa in the 27th round of Serie A on February 28.
The all-time leading scorer of Armenia’s national team joined Inter in 2022. With the club, he has won the Italian championship, the Italian Cup and the Italian Super Cup, and has also played in two UEFA Champions League finals.
This season, Mkhitaryan has featured in 24 matches, scoring two goals and delivering two assists.
