Gagik Tsarukyan vows nationwide tour for unity

One of the key ideas of the Proposal to Armenia initiative is internal solidarity, Prosperous Armenia Party leader and philanthropist Gagik Tsarukyan wrote on his Facebook page.

“I will travel throughout Armenia and speak openly and sincerely with people primarily about this, trying to convey the importance of this idea to everyone,” he wrote.

Tsarukyan added that in all areas of life — from daily interactions to politics — new rules of coexistence are needed, and everything begins with simple steps.

“We must start listening to each other, respecting each other, and being ready both to forgive and to apologize. Compromise is not shameful; compromise is a sign of trust and self-respect.

I am deeply concerned by the aggression that exists within us. We have begun treating each other like enemies. It is strange: we have begun a reconciliation process with the enemy, while inside the country, among our own people, we are encouraging hostility toward one another. This does not serve our interests. It is illogical.

The shocking incidents and stories that occur daily in our cities and villages cannot leave a normal person indifferent. This is a direct consequence of the atmosphere that has formed and of a serious omission.

The new brand of our national revival is internal solidarity. I call on all conscious citizens — regardless of political and other disagreements — to move in this direction.

When the world and the region confront us with new challenges, internal solidarity acquires a different, vital importance.

Malice, aggression and the obsession with destroying one another will lead to a new disaster; that is what the enemy wants.

The banner of internal solidarity must be the highest one. It should become the banner uniting the overwhelming majority of our society — for our country, for our people, for our generations.

Internal solidarity must become the leading idea of recovery after war and defeat, not only in Armenia but throughout the entire Armenian world,” the post reads.

Tsarukyan added that after so many disasters and losses, Armenia must move forward based on new intra-Armenian principles.

“Wherever in the world an Armenian may be, one Armenian must help another, support them and contribute to their success. The success of one Armenian is the success of us all. This awareness will help us overcome destructive hostility. I believe in the wisdom and inner strength of our people,” Gagik Tsarukyan noted.

Earlier, Tsarukyan announced that he would participate in the 2026 parliamentary elections with the “Proposal to Armenia” initiative.

“It will be a ‘proposal to Armenia.’ To lead the country out of this situation, there is neither such a person nor such a party. There must be consolidation around an idea and a program. It will be a proposal to Armenia. A person may not be involved in politics but may wish for our children and grandchildren to emerge from this impoverished, defeated situation,” he said.

Parliamentary elections in Armenia are scheduled for June 7, 2026.
