A number of flights to Yerevan and from the Armenian capital have been canceled.
According to the flight schedule at Yerevan’s Zvartnots International Airport, seven inbound flights from the United Arab Emirates and Qatar to Yerevan were not operated, Aysor.am reports.
Two flights to Doha (Qatar Airways), three to Dubai (FlyDubai), one to Sharjah (Air Arabia) and one to Abu Dhabi (Air Arabia) were canceled.
In addition, several flights to Yerevan also did not take place. Two services from Dubai (FlyDubai), two from Doha (Qatar Airways), one from Sharjah and one from Abu Dhabi were not operated.
On February 28, Israel and the U.S. carried out airstrikes against Iran, killing Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. Iran responded with strikes toward Israel and Persian Gulf countries hosting U.S. military bases.
