Within a survey conducted by the American organization IRI, respondents in Armenia were asked which political figure they trust the most.
According to the results, 18 percent of respondents named incumbent Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, placing him first in the ranking.
For 6 percent of participants, the most trusted political figure was Russia-based businessman Samvel Karapetyan, who took second place, Factor.am reports.
In third place, with 3 percent trust, was Armenia’s second president Robert Kocharyan. The same 3 percent trust level was also recorded for Prosperous Armenia Party leader Gagik Tsarukyan.
Other figures mentioned among the most trusted politicians include Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan, followed by Aram Sargsyan, chairman of the Republic Party.
Speaker of the National Assembly Alen Simonyan was trusted by 1 percent of respondents. The same level of trust was recorded for former Human Rights Defender Arman Tatoyan and political analyst Gurgen Simonyan. The latter two are also preparing to participate in the upcoming parliamentary elections.
At the same time, 48 percent of respondents said they do not trust any political figure. Another 7 percent named a different politician, while 9 percent refused or found it difficult to answer.
The survey was conducted between February 3 and 13, 2026, with 1,506 citizens participating.
Parliamentary elections in Armenia are scheduled to take place on June 7, 2026.
