Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan and France’s Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs Jean-Noel Barrot discussed the situation in the Middle East during talks in Paris. Mirzoyan emphasized the importance of resolving the crisis and ensuring regional stability.
The two sides also reviewed ongoing work aimed at the consistent development of the strategic partnership between Armenia and France. The discussion covered key cooperation programs, including projects in the fields of energy and infrastructure.
The ministers also addressed upcoming high-level events, including preparations for the European Political Community meeting scheduled to take place in Yerevan in May.
They underscored the importance of continued cooperation to strengthen democratic resilience amid current global trends.
On February 28, Israel and the United States carried out airstrikes against Iran. Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei was killed as a result of the strikes. Iran subsequently launched retaliatory attacks against Israel and several Gulf countries hosting U.S. military bases.
