Public and political figure Edgar Ghazaryan has joined the Strong Armenia party, he announced on his Facebook page.
“There seems to be a hope, an opportunity, a chance that we cannot afford to miss. I have decided, with my modest abilities, to take part in an idea initiated by a strong leader and a strong team, aimed at building a strong Armenia,” he said in a video message.
Ghazaryan noted that since the 44-day war and what he described as the capitulation agreement, he has waged an uncompromising struggle against the current authorities by organizing rallies and initiating various political processes, but those efforts have not yet produced results.
He also said that Samvel Karapetyan possesses all the necessary qualities to serve the state and the people.
The Strong Armenia party has nominated Samvel Karapetyan as its candidate for prime minister. This was announced by Narek Karapetyan, coordinator of the Mer Dzevov movement, during the party’s official presentation at the Karen Demirchyan Sports and Concert Complex.
