The airline Flydubai will operate two daily flights between Dubai and Yerevan, the carrier’s office in Armenia said.
According to the office, on March 12, 13, 14 and 15 the airline will run two flights per day in each direction in line with the approved schedule, Sputnik Armenia reported.
“On March 12, 13, 14 and 15 two flights per day will be carried out according to the confirmed schedule,” the office said.
The company noted that the current flight duration is about six hours, whereas previously the journey took around three hours.
Due to the escalation of tensions in the Middle East, the airline had earlier limited operations and temporarily operated only one flight per day.
Thousands of flights were canceled because of the situation, including routes between Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah and Armenia.
On February 28, Israel and the United States carried out airstrikes on Iran, during which Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei was killed. Iran responded with strikes toward Israel and Gulf countries hosting U.S. military bases.
