Armenia, Oman discuss investment cooperation

Armenia’s Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan, currently in Muscat, and Chairman of the Oman Investment Authority Abd Al-Salam bin Mohammed Al-Murshidi discussed prospects for developing bilateral cooperation.

The sides noted with satisfaction the actively developing political dialogue between Armenia and Oman and their readiness to deepen cooperation in various areas, which could also contribute to boosting investment interaction.

In this context, the importance of establishing direct links between investment promotion institutions was emphasized, including the involvement of Enterprise Armenia, chambers of commerce, and business circles. The role of Armenia’s resident embassy in Muscat in identifying concrete opportunities was also highlighted.

Mirzoyan presented steps undertaken by the Armenian government aimed at improving the investment environment, promoting business, and creating favorable conditions for attracting foreign investment.

During the meeting, Ararat Mirzoyan and Abd Al-Salam bin Mohammed Al-Murshidi also addressed the activation of people-to-people contacts, the possibility of launching direct flights between the capitals of Armenia and Oman, as well as prospects for cooperation in culture and tourism.

As part of the official visit to Oman, on March 17 in Muscat, Armenia’s Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan also met with Oman’s Foreign Minister Badr bin Hamad bin Hamood Al-Busaidi. The sides discussed a wide range of issues related to the development of cooperation between Armenia and Oman.
