Mirzoyan meets ambassadors in Arab countries

A meeting of heads of Armenia’s diplomatic missions accredited in Arab countries has started in Muscat under the leadership of Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan, during which the situation in the Middle East was discussed.

Deputy Foreign Minister Vahan Kostanyan, who coordinates relations with Middle Eastern countries, as well as diplomats from the Foreign Ministry’s central office, also took part.

Armenian ambassadors presented the realities and specific features of their countries of accreditation. An exchange of views took place on possible ways to resolve the situation.

Mirzoyan addressed ongoing efforts to implement Armenia’s foreign policy priorities in the region and the country’s approaches to further developing partnerships.

Subsequently, discussions continued on issues concerning Armenian citizens who have been in Middle Eastern countries since the escalation of the situation, including efforts undertaken to facilitate their return to Armenia.

On March 18, the official opening ceremony of Armenia’s embassy in Oman was held in Muscat, attended by Armenia’s Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan and Oman’s Foreign Minister Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi.
