A speech was also delivered by the organization’s president, Vardan Telyan, who presented the history and mission of the organization.
In addition to AGBU members and other invitees, the meeting was attended by Archbishop Hovnan Terterian, Primate of the Western Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church of the United States, and Consul General in Los Angeles Anna Avetisyan.
The discussion continued in a question-and-answer format, during which Ambassador Mkrtchyan responded to participants’ questions regarding the Armenia-U.S. agenda and the development of bilateral relations.
Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan and U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio confirmed in Washington a document on Armenia-U.S. joint work within the framework of the Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity (TRIPP) initiative.
The published document on the implementation of TRIPP outlines the procedures for launching the initiative. This framework does not create and is not intended to create legal obligations or commitments for Armenia or the United States.
