Armenia will begin applying Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) quotas for the duty-free import of chocolate raw materials, following a decision adopted at today’s government meeting.
The government has put into effect decisions of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council related to duty-free imports of several goods.
In particular, Armenia will, over a one-year period until April 30, 2027, utilize quotas allowing the duty-free import of 300 tons of cocoa paste and 200 tons of cocoa butter, Sputnik Armenia reports.
If the established volumes are exceeded, importers will be required to pay corresponding duties ranging from 3% to 5%.
Additionally, until the end of 2028, duty-free imports of materials intended for textile and leather processing for local production needs have also been authorized.
