Armenia-U.S. group reviews strategic partnership steps

On April 1, the third meeting of the Armenia–U.S. working group, established to implement agreements reached at the August 8, 2025 peace summit in Washington, was held, Armenia’s Foreign Ministry reported.

Deputy Foreign Minister of Armenia Vahan Kostanyan and U.S. Deputy Assistant Secretary of State Sonata Coulter noted that progress has already been recorded in bilateral cooperation across various sectors.

Members of the working group also discussed further steps aimed at strengthening the Armenia–U.S. strategic partnership, including economic cooperation, the energy sector, as well as critical and emerging technologies.

On January 14, 2025, Armenia’s Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan and U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken signed an official strategic partnership document in Washington. The agreement is based on shared values such as promoting democracy, supporting sovereignty, and ensuring territorial integrity.
