LDUA backs Strong Armenia alliance

The Liberal Democratic Union of Armenia (LDUA) will not take part in the upcoming parliamentary elections but will support Samvel Karapetyan’s Strong Armenia alliance, the party’s board has announced.

The board called on its supporters to actively participate in the elections and to believe that Armenia still has the potential to grow stronger.

“Condemning the defeatist policies of the authorities and their political repression against the Armenian Apostolic Church, national benefactor Samvel Karapetyan, and many dignified sons of the Armenian nation, the LDUA states that Armenia stands at a historic turning point: either the country will finally slide into a dictatorial regime, or our society will find the strength to rise, halt the chain of defeats, and bring Armenia to a qualitatively new level.

To overcome this situation, the capacity of any single political force is insufficient; it can only be achieved through broad cooperation between society and political entities.

For this reason, LDUA expresses its support for the Strong Armenia alliance led by Samvel Karapetyan and hopes that, guided by the above principles, they will be able to achieve wide consolidation and lead toward victory.

We call on our supporters, friends, and compatriots to actively participate in the elections, approach them with responsibility and faith that Armenia still has the opportunity to become stronger. Thus, forward to a strong Armenia,” the party’s statement said.

Parliamentary elections in Armenia will be held on June 7, 2026.
