Pashinyan says meeting with Putin set for June

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has announced that a new meeting between him and Russian President Vladimir Putin is planned for the second half of June.

Speaking at a briefing, he noted that there was no behind-the-scenes meeting with Putin, but rather a working lunch during which they spoke in an informal setting.

“I consider the visit very successful, while others are free in their assessments. As for the one-on-one meeting with Vladimir Putin, we agreed on our future contacts. We agreed to hold a high-level meeting in the second half of June,” Pashinyan said.

During the Pashinyan–Putin meeting held at the Kremlin on April 1, the sides discussed the current state and prospects of Armenian-Russian relations, as well as a number of regional issues, including the development of economic and transport links in the South Caucasus.
