The National Self-Determination Union, led by Paruyr Hayrikyan, and the DOK party of Vardan Ghukasyan will run jointly, Hayrikyan confirmed, according to Factor.am .
“I proposed unification, and the head of DOK’s headquarters told me they view the idea positively. We discussed it and said we are ready to work with you,” Hayrikyan said.
He added that it is still unclear under what name the united forces will run or who will be their candidate for prime minister. Hayrikyan only noted that he will not be the top name on the list.
Levon Baghdasaryan, chief of staff of the DOK party and a lawyer, also wrote about another possible cooperation involving Stepan Demirchyan. However, this information could not be confirmed directly with Demirchyan, as he did not respond to calls. In an interview with A1+, Stepan Demirchyan stated that the reports do not correspond to reality.
Parliamentary elections in Armenia are scheduled for June 7, 2026.
