Former Minister of Labor and Social Affairs Artem Asatryan, former head of the State Property Management Department Arman Sahakyan, and others detained within the same criminal case have been released. A preventive measure of bail and a ban on leaving the country has been applied to them.
The Anti-Corruption Committee reported that part of the damage caused to the state has already been compensated by the accused, according to Factor.am .
Artem Asatryan, Arman Sahakyan, and other former officials were detained on April 8 within the framework of a criminal proceeding investigated by the Anti-Corruption Committee.
Arman Sahakyan had been charged as early as 2020, and a bail of 5 million drams had been set as a preventive measure. On July 1, 2024, it was established that he had compensated 178 million drams in damages to the state.
In January 2025, a court decided not to detain Sahakyan, instead applying an alternative preventive measure—administrative supervision.
