According to Forbes’ 2026 data, businessman Samvel Karapetyan’s wealth increased by $900 million in one year, reaching a total of $4.1 billion.
“Do you know many people who, while under arrest, managed to increase their wealth by nearly $1 billion? Imagine how much he would raise the standard of living in the country if he became Armenia’s prime minister. It’s time for change,” wrote Narek Karapetyan, a member of the council of the Strong Armenia party, on his Facebook page, commenting on the Forbes report.
