Chief of Staff of the Prime Minister of Armenia Arayik Harutyunyan and Head of the European Union Mission in Armenia, Ambassador Vassilis Maragos, discussed issues related to the agenda of the first Armenia–EU summit scheduled to take place in Yerevan in May, during their meeting on April 14. They also addressed topics concerning the organization of the European Political Community summit.
The sides emphasized the importance of the consistent development of Armenia–EU cooperation and highlighted the significance of advancing an active bilateral agenda.
Arayik Harutyunyan stressed that the European Union has supported the implementation of democratic reforms in Armenia, adding that ensuring the continuity of these reforms has been among the government’s key priorities.
On December 2, 2025, following the 6th meeting of the Armenia–EU Partnership Council in Brussels, Armenia and the European Union signed a strategic partnership agenda. The document was signed by Armenia’s Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan and the EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Kaja Kallas.
