The Strong Armenia alliance has submitted its electoral list to the Central Electoral Commission, marking a key этап in the country’s election process.
Alliance member Aram Vardevanyan described the move as an important milestone, signaling the active start of the electoral process.
“From a legal standpoint, we have zero concerns. There are no legal or legislative tools that could create obstacles. Together with our partners, we have thoroughly reviewed all documents before submitting them,” he said, according to Panorama.am .
Vardevanyan stressed that the alliance’s activities fully comply with current legislation. He also addressed the issue of leaked recordings, criticizing the authorities.
“Even within the Civil Contract party there are individuals with legal issues, but why are there no recordings about them? Why doesn’t the Anti-Corruption Committee publish wiretaps concerning Civil Contract? This level of focus on surveilling opposition forces is, in some sense, also a sign of weakness,” he said.
He further claimed that the published recordings were edited and should be treated with caution.
The top ten names on the electoral list include Narek Karapetyan, Aram Vardevanyan, Gohar Meloyan, Davit Ghazinyan, Ruben Mkrtchyan, Arega Hovsepyan, Mamikon Aslanyan, Avetis Arakelyan, Marianna Ghahramanyan and Hayk Sukiasyan.
Earlier, the Central Electoral Commission approved the alliance’s request to change its account name from Strong Armenia with Samvel Karapetyan to Strong Armenia.
