Strong Armenia party member Artur Avanesyan, whose detention was reported earlier, does not accept the charges, said party representative Arega Hovsepyan.
Avanesyan, also known as Kandaz, is accused in a vote-buying case.
“He has the status of an accused and does not accept the charges,” she stated.
According to her, a search was conducted at Avanesyan’s residence, but no items related to the case or any illegal objects were found.
Earlier, Armenia’s Anti-Corruption Committee reported that four individuals had been detained for allegedly promising employment and other benefits to voters in exchange for support in the June 7, 2026 parliamentary elections.
