A coordination meeting between Armenia and international partners focused on ensuring protection for vulnerable groups in society, organized by the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs and the United Nations office in Armenia.
In his opening remarks, Deputy Foreign Minister Robert Abisoghomonyan emphasized the importance of developing human capital.
Remarks were also delivered by Minister of Labor and Social Affairs Arsen Torosyan, Head of the EU Delegation to Armenia Vassilis Maragos, and UN Resident Coordinator in Armenia Françoise Jacob.
Abisoghomonyan drew participants’ attention to the Armenia–UN Sustainable Development Cooperation Framework for 2026–2030, which prioritizes social protection and demographic resilience, decent work, women’s advancement, and the protection of vulnerable groups, including Armenian refugees displaced from Nagorno-Karabakh.
The deputy foreign minister also underscored the importance of continued support from the United Nations, Armenia’s partner countries, international financial institutions, and other development partners in implementing the government’s strategic programs and strengthening Armenia’s institutional capacities. Representatives of diplomatic missions accredited in Armenia and international organizations attended the event.
