Armenia’s Economy Minister Gevorg Papoyan and Raymond Jehle, representative of the Food and Agriculture Organization in Armenia, signed a Country Programming Framework document for 2026–2030 on April 30, outlining strategic directions for cooperation over the next five years.
According to the ministry, the agreement defines key priorities including the development of sustainable agriculture and resilient value chains, land consolidation and efficient resource use, climate-smart agriculture and ecosystem restoration, digital transformation, disaster risk reduction, and anticipatory actions.
“The signing of today’s document is a significant step toward modernizing Armenia’s agri-food sector and strengthening rural development. Through this cooperation, we reaffirm our commitment to building a more resilient, competitive, and inclusive agricultural system that will deliver tangible results for our rural communities,” Papoyan said.
Deputy Minister Arman Khojoyan also attended the signing ceremony.
