Commemorative stamp issued for Yerevan EPC summit

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, European Council President Antonio Costa, and Irish Prime Minister Micheál Martin cancelled a commemorative stamp dedicated to the 8th European Political Community summit in Yerevan at the conclusion of the event.

The stamp, with a face value of 320 Armenian drams, features the official logo of the summit. At the bottom, it bears the Armenian inscription: “EPC Summit 04.05.2026 Yerevan.”

The leaders also delivered concluding statements to the media.

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated, “I have the honor to note that the 8th European Political Community summit successfully concluded its work today in Yerevan, bringing together leaders from different continents. I would like to use this opportunity to express my sincere gratitude to the European Union for close cooperation and partnership, including co-organizing the summit and to our two partners who have expanded the geography of this forum.

I should also highlight the remote participation of the President of Azerbaijan and the participation of the Vice President of Turkey. Today’s discussions confirmed that amid growing global challenges, there is a need for sincere dialogue and practical decisions to expand peace and stability across regions.

We emphasized security, stability, connectivity, regional cooperation, economic resilience, energy, and the green transition. Connectivity is central to economic stability, resilience, and long-term sustainability, strengthening links and advancing climate and energy goals.

We identified these as shared priorities. Discussions underscored the importance of regional cooperation and open, integrated, interconnected regions that foster intercontinental links. In this context, we also addressed expanding peace and stability.

Lasting peace in the South Caucasus, normalization of relations, and opening of borders will benefit not only the region but also strengthen broader European and beyond cooperation.

We also discussed how democracies should counter hybrid threats.

Armenia continues to actively promote expanded connectivity platforms in the wider region. This summit reaffirms that the EPC is not only a dialogue platform but also an opportunity to build trust and implement more coordinated and forward-looking European agendas. I am confident discussions in Yerevan will continue beyond this summit and further strengthen cooperation and mutual understanding.

I would also like to note, addressing my good friend, the Prime Minister of Ireland, that the summit will continue in his country, expanding this platform further. I thank local and international media for their important contribution in covering this significant event,” Pashinyan said.

He also thanked Antonio Costa for his role in organizing the summit and supporting Armenia’s candidacy to host it in Yerevan.

On May 4, Yerevan hosted the 8th European Political Community summit, followed by the first Armenia–European Union summit scheduled for May 5. Around 50 high-level delegations arrived in Armenia, including European Council President Antonio Costa and European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen. French President Emmanuel Macron also visited, while Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy made his first visit to Armenia.
