Russia requires entry forms for Armenian truck drivers

Under new Russian regulations, truck drivers from Armenia, other CIS countries, and Georgia are required to submit an electronic application to enter and stay in Russia.

The announcement was made by Russian Interior Ministry spokesperson Irina Volk.

According to her, drivers must file the application via the RuID system, attaching copies of their passports and documents confirming their professional activity in international freight transportation, TASS reported.

Earlier, it was reported that Russia extended the temporary stay period for truck drivers from CIS countries and Georgia to up to 180 days.

The decision came into force on June 30, 2026.

Previously, under an April 27 decree signed by Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin, the government extended the allowed temporary stay for such drivers to 180 days within a calendar year.
