FlyOne Armenia to buy Airbus jets

FlyOne Armenia announced the signing of a strategic agreement with Airbus for the acquisition of two Airbus A321neo (A321-200NX) aircraft.

The agreement was signed in the presence of Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and French President Emmanuel Macron by FlyOne Armenia CEO Aram Khachatryan and Airbus Vice President for Sales and President for Eastern Europe and Central Asia Charbel Youzkatli, highlighting the international significance of the partnership.

“It is a great honor for me to be here today. On behalf of Airbus, I would like to sincerely thank FlyOne Armenia for consistently strengthening our cooperation and for the trust shown in the A320 family, especially through the selection of the A321neo model,” Youzkatli said.

Khachatryan described the agreement as a historic step not only for the company, but also for Armenia.

“Today, we all witnessed an extremely important event. FlyOne Armenia signed an agreement with Airbus on the acquisition of Airbus A321neo aircraft, which can be considered a historic step both for Armenian aviation and for our company. This deal is not only about purchasing aircraft — it also includes extensive training and development programs that Airbus will implement in the coming years. This will raise us to a new level both in terms of cooperation and quality standards. We are proud to be part of this important initiative,” he said.

The new-generation Airbus A321neo aircraft are known for improved fuel efficiency, reduced emissions and enhanced passenger comfort, offering a modern flying experience.

Armenia and France earlier signed a joint declaration on establishing a strategic partnership. The document was signed by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and French President Emmanuel Macron during Macron’s state visit to Armenia.
